Why Would Anyone Join a Private Club?

You can go out and eat at great restaurants without paying an initiation fee. You can play golf, tennis, and workout without having to pay assessments, reserve fund fees and other miscellaneous charges. You can get everything from a club anywhere else, right?
No. What you can’t get anywhere else is personalized service. Yes, you can dine all over; but can you be seated at your favorite table and be addressed by name each time you enter the restaurant? Will your favorite drink be prepared before you even ask for it? Will you be able to entertain clients without worrying about arguing over a check?
You can engage in sports and social activities in a public park. But does the caddy at the public course know how you can hit your driver 305? Does the tennis pro take time out of his day to help you with your follow through?
This is the difference. It’s the team. From the board down through the line level staff, the attention to detail and focus on personalized service for every member is what makes the biggest difference.
